Next time you're at the checkout & you hear the beep - think of the fun you could be having on Supermarket Sweep!
So begins this week's penultimate edition of Fist Of Fun, recorded at Greenwich University in London.

Rich claims that McCain's chips have sponsored this week's show, but acknowledges that their crispy southern fried coating will make no difference whatsoever to the content of their show.
Returning to the incongruous opening to this week's show, Rich begins demonstrating that has has been caught up in the hypnotic powers of Supermarket Sweep, unaware that the only man capable of freeing him from this state is non other than Dale Winton himself.

And so, here to cure Rich of his ailment, here is Dale Winton from Supermarket Sweep. Dale goes on to tell the listening audience about the genesis of this unusual gameshow, housed within his own supermarket, which he runs as a going concern.
Rich thinks that opening up the doors to excited shoppers (who Dale claims are his regular customers that need cheering up in some special way) for this supermarket gameshow is very magnanamous of Dale while Stew is a bit more cynical, noting all the free advertising the 'Dale Winton Supermarket' gets off the back of the show.

Shortly after this special guest infused opening, we hear that Richard has just passed his driving test, and we get to meet Peter Dibdin, Rich's driving instructor, for the first time.
In a sketch that would later be seen in the first TV series of Fist Of Fun, we hear Rich's love of acronym's for the first time & are constantly cajoled for not being able to drive.

On returning to the studio, we're handed over to Peter, who teaches us the recipes for Pie Lollies, Budget Fun Birthday Cake & Cheap Sleeping Tablets...
Moving on from Peter's section, Stew gets on the phone to Alex Pagett of the Stakis Hotel Group to complain about the quality of their hotel pornography. Whilst passing around a petition to forward on to Mr. Pagett, Rich is surprised to find David Derek in the audience - an old schoolmate of his - who suggests that if they're not satisfied with the quality of the pornography on offer, they should go off & make their own. John Thompson concurs...

And speaking of John Thompson, he's next up as 'Graham Haines' - the Fist Of Fun culture reviewer, who tells of his exeperiences at the brand new Warner cinema in London, where he went to see True Romance, the feminist arts exhibition, Bad Girls at the ICA, & the Black Theatre in Prague, to see The Flying Bicycle.

We learn of the logic behind Stew being "theoretically" Spanish, before the cast join Rich & Stew in their big comedy bed.
